“To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul
- thus begins the prayer of Psalm 25. The Psalm continues giving voice to a heart that knows intimately the struggles and sorrows of this life, but who has found God to be a merciful saviour. Often the joys of life are touched by great pain, difficulty, failure, and a myriad of things that seek to darken our days. Experiencing the effects of sin, suffering, and struggle can leave us feeling broken, lost and in need of help.
Augustine - an early church leader- once said:
"Human life, now compelled to feel the misery of so many grievous ills on earth, can, by the hope of heaven, be made both happy and secure."
Like the Psalmist, Augustine was honest about the “misery” of this life, its impact on our lives, and of his need for healing. He is also a man marked by hope pointing us to Jesus, the ‘Hope of Heaven’ who once said
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10.10
Where life’s troubles have left us feeling fractured, God is able and ready to Restore us to abundant life!

Dave is the planting rector of Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Sioux Falls, SD. As the great, great-grandson of homestead farmers in the American Midwest, he’s travelled a long journey to be a part of God’s restoring work in his hometown.
Dave's journey with Jesus has been full of surprises:
He stumbled into the Anglican Way as a worshiper at St. John's Vancouver as a graduate student, later training through the Artizo Institute. After working with church plants in Los Angeles and Orange County, was ordained as a missionary priest in his home country for the sake of Jesus by the Anglican Church of Rwanda and led a church plant in Boise, Idaho for six years before moving back to his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
At the beginning of Dave's church planting journey, he received an unexpected diagnosis of an incurable cancer. More than anything else over the years, Dave has been surprised by hope, seeing the triumph of Jesus in all things and the power of God made perfect in the weakness of His children (2 Cor 12.9).
Dave loves any adventure that includes his wife and kids.
He is currently planting Christ Our Hope in Sioux Falls with his wife Amy and boys, Charles (6) and Owen (3).
Luke has served as the worship pastor at Caribou Road Christian Fellowship in Burnaby since 2014. His greatest desire is to authentically pursue depth & intimacy in worship, to sit at the Father's feet and proclaim the limitless wonder of who God is.
Luke and his family live in Aldergrove, BC, and his song, "Something Beautiful " is currently charting at #9 across Canada on Christian Radio.
Father Chad serves as an ordained priest at Emmaus Road Anglican Church where he serves with his wife Janna.
Chad is passionate about leading people into deeper places of healing and intimacy with the God who created them. Having been beautifully restored by Jesus, Chad has given his life to the singing of his redemption song in spirit, truth, and sacrament. He is in love with Jesus and with Jesus' beloved church, believing that through her Jesus is reconciling the world to Himself. Chad is currently working on his master's degree at Trinty School of Ministry.
In his spare time, Chad can often be found exploring the beauty of BC, making music, making intensely good food, or enjoying the incredible gift of presence with the people that God has placed in his life.
