Praise God for the gift of life together as a church!
At a Family Meeting on Sunday, January 11, the Parish Council shared details about our current financial situation at Emmaus Road Anglican Church. We give great thanks to God for the incredible ways He has provided for us over the years, and, with great faith that He will continue, we invite you to join us in prayer and generosity. It is our prayer that God would give us wisdom with which to steward well all He has given and is doing at Emmaus Road.
Sara shared the following information as our treasurer:
This chart shows a four-month average in giving since the beginning of our fiscal year in June. It is the difference between our 'Income' and 'budget' that is of note. We are currently not meeting the projected budget amounts for each month.
This chart shows that God has been incredibly faithful! The giving at Emmaus Road has doubled since the first quarter of 2023.
This graph shows the consistency of our monthly expenses alongside our monthly giving trends. We have been faithfully working to keep expenses as low as possible, but given our necessary spending and hard costs, we are averaging a $ 2,000 shortfall each month. This has meant that we've been using our reserves consistently each month. These reserves are now depleted to the point that we need to monitor the bank balance to ensure our payments are covered.
Father Chad invited us to GIVE - CONSISTENTLY - and to PRAY.
Psalm 126 is a beautiful prayer that starts by giving thanks for all God has done. Before finishing with confident hope that God will continue to be faithful, the Psalmist leads us in a prayer of petition. Together, we join in the ancient prayers of God's people, asking that God would 'Do it Again'. This is a prayer not rooted in anxiety, but in the generous and faithful character of the God who will surely meet our every need. Please join us in prayer as we continue to follow Jesus, praying that many would come to a life-saving encounter with Him!
